Cycling in Peru
Cycling in Peru is very beautiful, but it can also be tough.
The routes go from top to bottom with climbs and descents of sixty kilometers. Many routes go over passes above 4,000 meters where it is sometimes cold.
The winter months, June to September, are normally the dry months in Peru, but in the mountains the weather is unpredictable.
The hidden Inca city of Machu Picchu lies amid moss-green, rounded mountain peaks. From the ruins you look into valleys that are kilometers deep. Machu Picchu is one of the most beautiful and famous city ruins in the world.
