Relaxed cycling during spring and autumn along the Natchez Trace. Or a long tour along the Mississippi river.
Cycling conditions
Mississippi has been working on bike-friendly initiatives and cycling tourism. The cycling infrastructure is still a bit behind these initiatives.
Landscape
The whole state consists of lowland. The north is a beautiful area with hills, valleys, dense forests and rock formations. The middle part consists of low hills and is used for livestock and agriculture. The southern border is a wide, low coastline on the Gulf of Mexico. The Mississippi River flows along the western border of the state.
Climate
Mississippi has a humid subtropical climate. Summers are long and winters are short and mild. Spring and autumn are pleasant periods for a visit.
