Cycling in Massachusetts

Cycling tours along the beautiful coastline of Massachusetts, A hilly inland region with typical New England villages are also the perfect backdrop for enjoyable bike tours.

Cycling conditions
The use of bicycles on public roads is supported by the government with a "bicycle user manual". There is a mountain bike network.

The coastal area in eastern Massachusetts has wide sandy beaches and deep coves with many natural harbors. Inland begins an area with low plains and the valley of the Connecticut River. Further west the Berkshire Hills with many nice classical New England villages. There are over 1,100 lakes in this state. At the south coast lie the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
