Cycling in Idaho

Excellent cycling in untouched nature. Idaho is mountainous and part of the Rocky Mountains. Only in the southeast there are flat parts.

Cycling conditions
Idaho has average cycling fascilities. The state initiates activities to promote and support cycling. There is no cycle route network yet.

Landscape
Idaho consists mainly of mountainous area - the Bitterroot Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountains. Only in the southeast there are flat parts. There is plenty of untouched nature. Farming (potato) is the main agricultural activity.

Climate
Idaho has a continental climate moderated by the influence of the Pacific. In mountainous regions the summers are cool and winters cold. In the dry south, the summers are hot.
