Landscape
Georgia has a varied landscape with many forests. In the extreme north of the state lie the Blue Ridge Mountains and a part of the Appalachian Mountains. The rest of the state is almost flat. In the southeast is a large wetland, the Okefenokee Swamp. The coast has beautiful sandy beaches.
Climate
A continental climate domintes the state with a temperate to sub-tropical climate in the coastal region. Georgia has hot,and humid summers and generally mild winters. Most precipitation in spring and winter.
