Dawson City, once known as the “Paris of the North,” is our start and end point for a unique combination of a river trip and bike tour. We take to our canoes on the historic Yukon River for a four day paddle from Dawson to the town of Eagle, Alaska. The current moves you along at a good clip, though there is no whitewater. Experience the beautiful solitude along the hundred mile river journey as you camp on the shoreline and visit relics of the area’s gold rush past. After crossing back into the United States, we pull off the river in Eagle, AK in for a comfortable night in a local B&B. We reconnect with our van, trailer, and bikes for the scenic ride back to Dawson City on the Taylor and Top of the World Highways. Stunning views of the Yukon Plateau await in a territory the size of California, with a total population of approximately 30,000 people! The biking portion is fully supported with a mix of gravel and paved roads.
