Cycling conditions
On many roads the cyclist has a private space and there is a good legal protection for cyclists regarding motorized traffic - enforcement is still not a high priority. In this state there are many organized bike tours, both on road and off road.
Landscape
Utah has a beautiful, sometimes prisitne landscape. To the east lies the Colorado Plateau, a barren, mountainous and virtually uninhabited region. In the west lies the Great Basin Region with flat areas, separated by mountain ranges. In the middle of the state there are the Rocky Mountains. In the southern half of the state there are five National Parks.
Climate
Utah has a dry continental climate with hot summers and cold winters.
