You will ride across the vast pampas in Argentina, through the famous vineyards around Mendoza, will spin up and down the Andes, past the pristine lakes and looming volcanoes of Chile’s Lake District and cycle through the stunning Patagonia region of southern Chile. In fact, it is the only tour that allows you to cycle the entire legendary road – the Carretera Austral.
The route will allow riders to explore some of the continent’s best colonial architecture in Buenos Aires and Cordoba. They will pedal past Argentina’s endless fields of wheat and corn and alongside huge cattle ranches. Riders will be able to sample some of the world’s finest wines in San Juan and Mendoza, notably the region’s famed Malbec. Their legs will be tested climbing up over the Andes and down into Chile and once again on the hilly and winding unpaved roads in Patagonia. They will be refuelled by the local cuisines – Argentina’s Asado (BBQ) of beef, pork, ribs and sausages and Chile’s fresh seafood like Choritos (mussels) and salsa verde. The riders will also meet some of the most hospitable people in the world – the local Argentinians and Chileans they will encounter along the way.
