New for 2023: Due to an increased demand from our guests looking to travel to this popular destination on an E-bike, we will be offering full E-bike tours in Sedona and Prescott with an option to choose a road and hybrid bike only if you prefer. Explore one of the most beautiful regions in the world. Cycle the legendary Skull Valley Loop through Prescott State Forest past giant Ponderosa Pines. Bike and hike the stunning Sedona Red Rocks with an idyllic view of the canyons below. Kayak the wild and scenic Verde River. Take in the wonderful Southwestern culture that draws influence from the local Yavapai Tribe on this Sedona bicycle tour.

Day 1:

Start your Prescott and Sedona bicycle tour with a bike fitting at the beautiful Goldwater Lake surrounded by breathtaking scenery and ride through the Prescott National Forest. The legendary Hassayampa Inn, where you spend the next two nights, was named after the Hassayampa River, which means “the river that loses itself” in Apache. Welcome reception and dinner tonight is at the Inn’s very own Peacock Dining Room.

Day 2:

This morning, bike through a distinctly striking landscape of Skull Valley, a famous route that plays host to the Skull Valley Loop Challenge each September. The route is filled with sights, including 6,433-foot Martin Mountain, and rare animals, like the native Javelinas.

Day 3:

This morning, travel to the town of Clarkdale on the banks of the Verde river and a gateway to the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Area in the beautiful Verde Valley. Enjoy an early morning kayaking excursion to the Verde River. The river carves into a glorious canyon that is populated with bald eagles, black bears, otters, and white tail deer, offering glimpses of some of the nation’s most elusive creatures. Once you reach Sedona this afternoon and check into the luxurious Amara Resort, experience their premium spa or head into town to peruse the local art galleries.

Day 4:

Begin your day with a spectacular view of the gorgeous Red Rocks over breakfast at the Amara Resort. Ride to Mormon Lake in Flagstaff. Take in the rustic beauty and tranquility of the lake and watch the majestic elk that populate it.

Day 5:

Cycle the Red Rock Scenic Byway, as the unparalleled Red Rock State Park unfolds its full glory for the entire duration of the ride. Sample wine and artisan cheese pairings at a local vineyard while you take in the incredible surrounding views. Tonight, a private farewell dinner for the group will be hosted at Amara with breathtaking night views of the majestic Red Rocks.

Day 6:

Experience the majestic Red Rocks up close and personal as you hike to soak in the vistas and witness the famous Cathedral Rock. Enjoy a leader-hosted picnic lunch at the park after your hike. Post-lunch you will be transferred back to the Amara resort.

The luxurious Amara Resort is located in the middle of Uptown Sedona, putting you right in the midst of the eclectic city. (3 Nights)

A significant amount of health safety measures and trip modifications are currently in place and will continue into 2022. Out of an abundance of caution, we are requiring a proof of vaccination from our fully vaccinated guests and requiring non-vaccinated guests to get tested before traveling with us on any trip regardless of regional entry requirements within 48 hours prior to travel.

Our bikes are issued with flat pedals. If you ride with clip-less pedals (SPD or similar), we suggest that you remove your pedals from your bike and bring them with you. Your tour leaders will install your pedals on your bike for use during your bike trip.
