Day 1:

Ease into this Finger Lakes bicycle tour with a warm-up ride along the Erie Canal. Geneva is home to Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and the town showcases some of the region’s most historic and beautiful lakeside homes – one of which is now Geneva on the Lake, your accommodation for the evening. Join us for a welcome dinner tonight on the terrace.

Day 2:

Bluffs between the north-south running lakes feature expansive farmland and fabulous cycling. Roads are lightly traveled through miles of beautifully kept Mennonite farms where horse and buggy or bicycles are the most popular forms of transportation. Tonight we stay at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel, an upscale, newer hotel that features commanding views of the Seneca Lake.

Day 3:

Ride through rural farmland en route to Ithaca and scenic Cayuga Lake. Several country wineries beckon a visit along the route to the charming village of Aurora. A welcoming oasis awaits you at the end of your ride when you roll into the Inns of Aurora.

Day 4:

Visit the original estate of MacKenzie-Childs, the whimsical home decor manufacturer, or book a one-of-a-kind wine tour by boat.

Day 5:

Ride east to the town of Skaneateles at the north end of the lake that bears its name. Toast the week’s adventures during a reception and dinner at the Mirbeau Inn and Spa’s acclaimed restaurant.

Day 6:

The final ride of the week is one of our favorites. Follow the lakeshore south through verdant farmland as the route winds along the valley floor. Enjoy a leader hosted picnic lunch at a sculpture garden as you wrap up the week. You will be transferred to the airport in Syracuse in the afternoon.

This striking 1914 Italianate villa overlooks formal English gardens on the shore of Seneca Lake. Perennial AAA Four Diamond Award winner. (1 night)
Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel
A stylish new boutique hotel overlooking the southern end of Seneca Lake. Spacious rooms, lake views, restaurant and bar. Walk to shops. (1 night)
The Inns of Aurora
Beautifully restored in boutique style, this magnificent collection of lakeside inns features gracious service and the finest of attention to detail. Restaurant and bar. (2 nights)
Mirbeau Inn & Spa
A Provençal styled inn and gardens featuring a Forbes Travel Guide, 4-Star Award winning restaurant and spa. Wine bar, spa services, restaurant. (1 night)

A significant amount of health safety measures and trip modifications are currently in place and will continue into 2022. Out of an abundance of caution, we are requiring a proof of vaccination from our fully vaccinated guests and requiring non-vaccinated guests to get tested before traveling with us on any trip regardless of regional entry requirements within 48 hours prior to travel.

Our bikes are issued with flat pedals. If you ride with clip-less pedals (SPD or similar), we suggest that you remove your pedals from your bike and bring them with you. Your tour leaders will install your pedals on your bike for use during your bike trip.
