In the tradition of Travels with Charlie and On the Road, with a dash of the Electric Kool-Aid Test and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, This Great American Road Trip will take riders across America’s vast landscape: from the Pacific to Atlantic, from California to Georgia. Starting on the Santa Monica Pier in California the cyclists will traverse the endless wastes of the Mojave Desert, check out the wacky trees in Joshua Tree National Park, gaze in wonder at the colourful rock formations in Sedona, pedal through vast tracts of ponderosa pines, spin past abandoned mining towns, soak in hot springs close to the first atomic test site and scan the skies for UFOs near Roswell.

The cyclists will descend beneath the earth’s surface to wander through the amazing Carlsbad Caverns, spin across the immense empty landscapes of West Texas, gaze across the Rio Grande into Mexico, sample some music in Austin – the world’s live music capital, explore the bayous and swamps in Louisiana, join in the revelry on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, enjoy fresh oysters and shrimp along the Gulf Coast and saunter through the old world streets of Savannah. Along the way, the riders will experience the true heart of America – its people. Quirky, loud, boisterous, patriotic, thoughtful, hardworking, introverted, compassionate and friendly – especially friendly! They will provide a memorable backdrop to your Great American Road Trip – one that will linger in your memories long after the trip has ended.
