Day 1: Montpetier to Afton

After our pick-up in Idaho Falls, we shuttle 145 miles to the Oregon Nature Center in Montpelier for introductions and bike preparations. We begin our ride with a climb up and over Geneva Pass. A quick descent takes up down to our beautiful lunch spot. After lunch, another climb by way of Salt Pass awaits us with a final descent into beautiful Star Valley. Star Valley boasts an abundance of wildlife, outdoor access, and spectacular
scenery. Intermittent Spring, near Afton, is the largest of cold water geyser in the world! In truth there isn’t steep competition for the honor- only three of these rare geysers have been discovered in the entire world.

Day 2: Afton to Jackson, Snake river


Today we will continue through scenic Star Valley to reach the mouth of the Snake River. The Snake River is the defining geographical feature of Idaho. Rising in the Rocky Mountains, it flows into Idaho from Wyoming in a northwest direction. Our ride will then take a dramatic rise in elevation as we head up the Snake River Gorge and into the mountains to Jackson.

Day 3: Grand Teton, Jackson to Moran Junction

As we cycle out of Jackson, the majesty of the Tetons unfolds before. Today’s ride is within the Grand Teton National Park. Our day finishes on the east border of the Park in the small community of Moran Junction which serves as a gateway to Teton National Park. We finish our ride by crossing into the Teton National Forest and to our camp at Hatchet campground.

Day 4: Grand Teton to Yellowstone

We begin our day with a shuttle into Yellowstone National Park. After a quick stop at West Thumb, we will begin our ride atop a crossing of the Continental Divide. Our morning ride is packed full with another Continental Divide crossing, Isa Lake, the Kepler Cascades, and finally our lunch stop at Old Faithful. Following a spectacular viewing of the geyser, we will continue on our bikes stopping at Yellowstone's best roadside attractions including Morning Glory Pool, Biscuit Basin, and the Grand Prismatic Spring enroute to Madison Junction. A final quick shuttle will bring us to the town of West Yellowstone, Montana (our 3rd state of the trip!) where we will enjoy a dinner on the town and some free time for souvenir shopping.

Day 5: Madison Junction to West Thumb.

After a delicious breakfast and a quick shuttle back to Madison Junction, we will continue our loop around Yellowstone National Park. This morning's ride climbs up past Gibbon Falls and the Virginia Cascades before we catch a glimpse of the breathtaking Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River at Artist Point. We stop to gaze out at Upper and Lowers Falls from canyon overlook, before moving on along the Yellowstone River. After lunch, our afternoon ride across Hayden Valley offers promise of wildlife sightings as we make our way to Lake Village and our ride's end at the Yellowstone Lake. A 2 hour shuttle brings us back to our camp at Hatchet Campground.

Day 6: Teton Pass to Victor

Anticipation builds as we fuel up with a hearty breakfast and a shuttle to the bike path at the base of world renowned ski resort, Jackson Hole. We will enjoy a 9 mile scenic spin from Teton Village to the quaint town of Wilson, where we begin our climb up and over Teton Pass. This gut-buster of a climb up the old highway is a favorite of Jackson locals and the perfect challenge to cap off a week of invigorating rides. After a ripping descent, we coast back into Idaho and onto one last lunch stop before we load up and shuttle 2 hours back to Idaho Falls.
