Day 1: Exploring Acadia on the famous carriage roads
Guides will meet you at the Ocean Gateway Visitors center on the Portland waterfront for the start of the tour. Picture breathtaking scenery, gentle grades, and car free cycling, and you have Acadia’s famous carriage roads. A gift of John D. Rockefeller to help the people of America enjoy Acadia’s beauty the carriage roads offer the opportunity to cycle through stately forests of pine and birch and to enjoy panoramic views of Mount Desert Island.

Day 2:The rugged beauty of the Schoodic peninsula
Today we enjoy a unique ferry ride across Frenchman Bay to Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Peninsula. We experience the dramatic power of the open ocean as it crashes along the Schoodic’s rugged shore before we cycle to a true lobstering community.

Day 3:Park Loop Road
We start our day with an early morning ride on Acadia’s famous Park Loop Road. The early start allows us to enjoy the ride before the crowds enter the park. After lunch, we transfer to the charming town of Camden where we enjoy an free afternoon to exploor the town.

Day 4:Kayaking and Sailing
In the morning, we discover Penobscot Bay from the cockpit of a kayak, paddling along the coast and amongst the islands. In the afternoon, we enjoy a sailboat ride on an antique wooden schooner.

Day 5: Cycling Islesboro Maine's friendliest island
The early morning ferry carries us to Islesboro where stately pines and 40 room cottages serve as a backdrop for our cycling tour around one of Maine’s prettiest islands.

Day 6: Cycling the prettiest six miles in New England
Our morning ride carries us to the charming village of Rockport. A wonderful mix of ocean views and gently rolling farms highlight our ride. We conclude our trip at noon and we will arrive back in Portland at 2:00 pm where a tour leader will drop you at the airport or a local hotel.
