Itinerary

Day 1: Cedar City to Brain head via Cedar Breaks

Meet your fellow riders and the cycling guide this morning for a shuttle ride out to our starting point in Cedar City. Upon arrival in Cedar City, your cycling specialists will help you with a custom bike fitting, and briefing about your adventure to come. Cedar City has served as the starting point for four Tour of Utah races, and provides a backdoor entrance to the top of the Grand Staircase. A huge climb into the Ashdown Gorge Wilderness area will reward you with incredible vistas. Ride the ridges of Cedar Breaks National Monument, an incredible natural amphitheater formed by 3 miles of eroding limestone, shale, and sandstone, with walls dropping over 2000ft. Tonight, as you acclimate, we will join together in Brian Head, the second highest town in the United States, and prepare for the adventurous rides to come.

Day 2: Brain Head to Panguitch

Choose from 2 different routes today and take your first step down the Grand Staircase. Follow an ancient Anasazi migration route as you make your way through iron rich red rocks and the Black Rock Desert volcanic field. Enjoy a relaxing lunch at the picturesque Panguitch Lake before continuing on to your destination for the night. The town of Panguitch captures the pioneer spirit, and rural charm of Utah, so be sure to explore the best that the historic Main street has to offer.

Day 3: Panguith to Bryce

Today’s ride will bring us to the marvelous hoodoos of Bryce Canyon National Park. Whether you choose to enjoy the park from Bryce Point, or extend your ride along the stunning pink cliffs all the way to Rainbow Point, the park’s unique beauty will capture you. Bryce maintains the longest active astronomy program in all of the National Parks, so be sure to take a step outside, and see the Milky Way as you never have before.

Day 4: Bryce NP or Highway 12 / Escalante

Depending on your ride yesterday, you will have the option to revisit separate sections of Bryce National Park, or you can challenge yourself to venture down Scenic Byway 12 as far as you care to go. Traveling Scenic Byway 12 will reward you with incredible vistas, such as Powell Point. You may choose to finish your ride in the town of Escalante. Or you may pedal on through major stretches of the Escalante Canyons, for incredible sections of the Escalante River, Calf Creek Canyon, and the Hog’s back. As far as you may make it, enjoy a shuttle ride back to Bryce for another amazing night under the stars.
Should you select the Burner Route today, you’ll find yourself traversing through open range country with spectacular views in Johns Valley. You’ll then continue on through Casto Canyon, which features striking red rock walls, and hoodoos similar to Bryce.

Day 5: Bryce to Zion Mountain Ranch

Today’s ride will take you from Bryce Canyon down to Zion Mountain Ranch. Choose to begin the full ride in the town of Bryce, and follow the Highway 12 Scenic Byway. Or, take advantage of a shuttle transfer to lower your starting elevation by 1000 ft. No one will blame you. Enjoy a long downhill to a supported rest stop in the city of Orderville, a communal city, developed in 1875 by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the direction of Brigham Young. An included dinner and massage await you after a big climb to the rustic Zion Mountain Ranch.
Today’s Burner Route breaks away from the traditional routes and features 24 miles on dirt roads. Kick up some dust, before settling in at the Ranch for your shower and massage

Day 6: Zion Mountain Ranch to Springdale

Fully relaxed from yesterday’s spa treatment, your adventure ends with a bang today, as you cruise the Mount Carmel highway into Zion Canyon National Park. Explore the canyon from end to end as you ride along the Virgin River, admiring the incredible formations carved into the red and tan Navajo Sandstone. Celebrate your journey’s conclusion at the Zion Canyon Brewing Company before deciding upon your next adventure. Zion Canyon is an adventurer’s paradise whether you wish to continue riding, or tackle legendary hikes like Angels Landing, or the Narrows. Should you choose to return to Las Vegas, an included shuttle departs after lunch.

T Specialized-Diverge 2018 Specialized Diverge Comp Cycle.
The Specialized Diverge is not quite a cross bike and not completely a road bike. The Diverge is the perfect bike for this tour.
With clearance for up to 42 mm tires and a Future Shock that is geared specifically to riding smoothly over harsh terrain, Specialized notes that: “Sure, some have tried to make their cross bikes more road-capable and others have made their road bikes more adventure-ready, but we created one bike that makes no compromises between the two.”
