This exclusive route connects the cycling friendly towns of Breckenridge, Vail, Leadville, Aspen and Glenwood Springs, a must ride for anyone interested in Cycling in Colorado. You will stay at a mix of small bed and breakfasts, Local inns, and hotels. Just under half of this ride is on car free bicycle paths and the rest is on scenic rocky mountain byways. Itinerary
Included / Not Included – lodging
Day 1: Arrive in Breckenridge.
This afternoon we will meet and cycle between a couple breweries in Breckenridge to make sure everything is all set on our bikes before dinner as a crew.
Day 2: Breckenridge to Vail
38 miles, 1765 of Elevation Gain.
The first leg of our journey is almost exclusivly on cycle path and takes you Through Frisco, past Copper Mountain, and over Vail Pass before descending to Vail for the evening.
Day 3: Vail to Leadville
40 miles, 3800 feet of Elevation Gain.
The cycle from Vail to Telluride is amazing. Known as the Top of The Rockies Scenic byway this route includes a stop at the training area of the famous 10th Mountain Division on Tennesse Pass. Finishing in Leadville we will have a beer waiting in this historic Mining town resting at 10,152 feet.
Day 4: Leadville to Aspen
59 miles 5,500 feet of Elevation Gain.
The ride from Leadville to Aspen is Stunning. You will cycle along Twin Lakes, ride over Independence Pass and descend into world famous Aspen Colorado. Tonight we will sample brews from the Aspen Brewing Company.
Day 5: Aspen to Glenwood Springs
42 miles 171 feet of Elevation Gain.
We may go up 171 feet today on the Rio Grande Rail Trail but we spend the rest of the day going down almost 2,400 feet of elevation to finish in Glenwood Springs. Celebrating our ride in style we will stop off in Carbondale and have lunch at a brewery there before finishing at our hotel in Glennwood and soaking in the hot springs.

This trip requires an intermediate level of fitness. The daily rides vary from 20 - 65 miles with significant altitude gains each day except the last.
