You probably know the American Scenic Byways program. But here is only one state in the nation that has Scenic Bikeways! And now in Oregon there are eight of these routes to choose from. Oregon State Parks just announced a new round of Bikeways. The bikeway program is a partnership between Cycle Oregon, Travel Oregon, Oregon Department of Transportation and Oregon Parks and Recreation.
The routes are suggested by locals and officially reviewed, ridden and adopted.Designated bikeways are the "best of the best" road bicycle riding on existing roads and paved paths in Oregon. Routes show off Oregon's Mountains, farmlands and historic places.
